Busloads of migrants dropped off near Kamala Harris's home on Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, several busloads of migrants were dropped off at Vice President Kamala Harris' apartment in Washington, D.C.;

this appears to be the latest development in an ongoing conflict between state officials and the Biden administration over the nation's immigration policies.

At the Naval Observatory, where Harris resides, three busloads of immigrants came on Saturday night.

. The migrants were unprepared for the frigid weather when they were welcomed by the Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network, a neighborhood grassroots group, according to the station.

Earlier this year, after the Biden administration tried to repeal a pandemic-era policy that allowed the United States to refuse admittance to immigrants

some state governors started sending buses of migrants to the capital.

At least one governor from these states, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, said his state is purposefully busing migrants to sanctuary cities, where law enforcement is discouraged from deporting immigrants.
