Just consider it in this manner. Following what we saw at the end of the last episode, we have been set up for a few major stories on the flagship show

The epic family conflict between Jamie Dutton and Beth Dutton is the first to escalate.

Also, you have the ranch's ongoing activities and the cattle's apparent movement into Texas.

We would really like to see some extremely interesting things, thus we hope there was a new episode airing later tonight. Unfortunately, it's not quite feasible to do that.

Not only is the Paramount Network uncertain when the show is coming back right now, but there is still no clear indication of when production will start up again!
