Lenny Von Dohlen, 'Twin Peaks' Actor, Dead at 64

Lenny Von Dohlen has away. He was best known for his roles in the comedies Electric Dreams from 1984 and Twin Peaks. He was 64.

Von Dohlen passed away on Tuesday in his Los Angeles home after a protracted illness,

according to a statement issued by his longtime manager Steven J. Wolfe

On Twin Peaks season 2, Von Dohlen played the anxious, orchid-growing Harold Smith

The David Lynch-produced television programme had its premiere in 1990 and was cancelled after two seasons in 1991.

In 1992's Twin Peaks-Fire Walk with Me prequel movie, Von Dohlen would return in the same role

A cult-like following developed for both the television show and the movie, which all but launched a limited-event series with a third season of 18 episodes on Showtime in 2017.

When he portrayed one of the fumbling bad guys in Home Alone 3, Von Dohlen's range on screen was clear.
