A woman named Mara was discovered Sunday morning just after 8 a.m. in the St
Lawrence River close to Cape Vincent, in upstate New York, not far from the Canadian border, according to the New York State Police.
According to a press statement, early evidence from the NYSP "indicates the victim (Mara) drowned while swimming."
