Regina Hall Explains Why She Laughed While Accepting Kevin Costner's Golden Globe Award
Regina Hall is explaining why she lost her composure as she accepted Kevin Costner’s award at the Golden Globes.
At the Jan. 10 presentation, Hall, 52, accepted the "Yellowstone" actor's award on his behalf after Costner was forced to cancel at the last minute due to severe flooding in Santa Barbara, California.
Hall started giggling on stage as she tried to explain why Costner couldn't make it.
On her latest appearance on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, Hall watched a recording of her remarks and provided some perspective.
Hall claimed that she did not anticipate that the teleprompter's remarks would soon adopt a more serious tone, mentioning the terrible flooding in California
It was on the teleprompters, and I was just experiencing what I was reading in real-time," she said to Hoda and Jenna.
Hall admits the unscripted moment left her a bit flustered. "I don’t know, it just came up," she said.
