World's best restaurants for 2022 revealed

Another successful year for Copenhagen as a restaurant in the Danish city has once again been awarded

the world's best restaurant at the World's 50 Best Restaurants awards.

At a spectacular ceremony held Monday night in London's Old Billingsgate,

, the two pals excitedly hugged one another as they celebrated receiving their medal.

To maintain a work-life balance, co-owner Sren Ledet and head chef Rasmus Kofoed decided to only keep it open four days a week.

Restaurants from South America did well as well. Chefs Virgilio Martnez and Pa León's Central in Lima moved up two spots to claim the second position,

Spain performed well this year as well. Disfrutar from Barcelona was at No. 3, and Diverxo from Madrid jumped to fourth place.
